Hi guys, here are a couple of pictures of some lockplates I engraved late last year. This is for gun No 3 in a series I'm doing. They are based on the art of Archibald Thorburn. The abbreviated word for the small birds which is in common usage in England isn't allowed (it gets ****) because it's also slang for a woman's breasts. Thorburn used the full name Titmouse but I'm not sure if the plural is titmice???

Anyway..... The first plate depicts Long Tailed Titmouses/mice. The one on the left is the Thorburn bird.
The second plate depicts Wood Pigeon, the perched bird being the Thorburn.

Hi Marcus,
Great job, I thought the idea was to put a picture of what you were hunting on the
weapon to draw the animals spirit to the hunter. So your patron would be hunting
song birds, the Titmouse in particular. I know there isn't much left after the last mad
cow thing, isn't that a little extreme.

Marcus. Nice work. Strange as it may seem the most impressive part to me is the clouds. Clouds are hard to do and make them look correct. Im impressed.
