Most of your probably use Corel's products as your graphics program. I have used Paint Shop since it first came out. For most purposes, it will do almost everything you want and has been the most recommended alternative program to Corel. It was pulling too much market share and Corel finally bought them out and gradually changed to program to be a photo editor. However, the old versions are full-blown graphics editors. I found a site that offers downloads of the older versions. I am using v7.04 so I can't address what the later versions do. If you are just a beginner and don't want to pay the big bucks for Corel's high priced spread, you might want to download one of these and give them a try.
