Normally I'd suggest a tripod for a sharper picture but in this case it looks like you either used one or were able to hold steady enough.

Unfortunately the camera seems to have chosen to focus on the background rather than the buckle.

My camera I use for most of my shots allows me to select 'Center Focus' (although not in the simplest mode).

I'd also like to see a clearer shot - what we can see looks good but without a sharper picture we can't tell if it's merely good or actually great. :)

Don't sell your work short Steve. That buckle looks MUCH better than the picture.

A better picture would allow your engraving to be appreciated more.

The buckle looks quite nice to me. What metal is it made from?

I take pictures worse than that. My engraving is a lot worse. I just Wish I could engrave like that. I'm workin on it though. Nice work!
