We apologize for the temporary downtime of the Cafe this evening. We had to go offline to do a software upgrade.

vBulletin 3.8.0 was recently released so we upgraded. A couple of new features you're going to like are automatic photo resizing and photo albums. In the couple of tests I've made the resizing feature works very well. What this means to you is no more resizing with graphics applications in order to upload. The new software does the job for you, quickly and painlessly. Just upload as usual and don't worry about resizing first.

The attached photo was over 2mb before auto-resizing. Nice!

Hi Sam!
This is really a great new feature and I think that will contribute to leveling the images quality too. It will provide a strait way to upload better photographs to the less skilled members and also to the lazy ones!;)
Furthermore, I like very much the fact that you do not need to get back and open the next photo; the album feature works great too.
Thank you a lot for your constant effort and support to this great site!
All the best, Leonardo.

Thanks, Leonardo and Andrew :)

Alain: Fantastic engraving!! How big was the photo you started with (file size)?

You can have your own photo albums, too. I will post information on how to do it soon. It's pretty easy though.

vBulletin did a great job on this new software.

Rex, the gun is for a private collector and not yet completely finished.
No chance to see it in real, only photographs.
I am sorry! despite that you are very lucky because it's me that you will see in real!!!

What is the quiz about Sam? Every time I post a reply, I have to answer a quiz. I have to answer all kinds of questions at home, but I know why.:D

Ok, I think i turned that off, Tom. It's an anti-spam feature. Let me know if it persists.

Ah, Sam, it's gone.

I wasn't sure if the questions were going to go beyond my knowledge...then I'd be in trouble.

Great job on the upgrade. Thanks, Tom

Wow, look at that snow! Believe it or not we had 7" of snow here about a month ago. Totally unheard of in Louisiana. A few days later we had our air conditioners on!

Tom: Try making a photo album with some of your pics in it. Check the USER CP link to get to it.

Thank you for this wonderful upgrade, Sam.
Question, please.
Do you still have to take the picture from a host site such as PhotoBucket?
Or will it accept pictures from your individual computer photo files?
Thanks again, John B.
