These plates are cut on mild steel; there is no ink used to darken them. The lady was not a beauty but she was a fine strong willed person, the man was a horn hunter and a fine trick shot with a S.A. Colt. He offered me the chance to hold the Ace of spades at 50 feet distance while he shot it through the center. He did this facing the other direction holding his revolver over his shoulder and sighting with a mirror. I declined the honor as he was a self taught engraver and my local competetion.
