I'm looking for an artist to make bas relief plates suitable for brass rubbings. I (hopefully) have attached a photo. The depth of the engraving needs to be 1/8 to 1/4 inch I believe, and I would prefer the work to be done in brass or bronze, but am open to discussion. Please contact me. thanks!

I have seen a number of these "rubbing" plates in various venues. All that I have seen were acid etched, not engraved. While they could be hand engraved it would be cost prohibitive IMO.

First you have to make a detail drawing, than sculptured it in plastelin, cast plaster mold, retouch it, cast positive image in plaster again, retouch it, cast negative mold and then you can pour hot wax into the wet plaster and send it to the nearest casting company. Be prepare to pay a few hundred dollars for the bronze of size, as shoved on the photo above.
Chase, polish an use patina.

Calculate expenses, add what you are charging per hour and send the bill to the customer.
