Hi Guys,I thought you might be interested in this. I had to do micro lettering and I was getting annoyed about the size of gravers I had to use. There has got to be a better way!

So I was looking at a Fox bur ball bur .003 that I use for background texturing. These burs are carbide tipped and work great in the E-Max I have. By the way the E-Max is my best weapon in setting these days.Anyway I finally manage to dull one of these little burs, (Man, you gotta love these burs.)So I wonder if I could make it into a graver.
Oh Boy and How!!!

They work great and they don't bend because of the taper. Orienting then for cutting isn't a problem
because they're so small. You cutting such small facets that each resharpening is orientated to itself.
In other words close is good.

Because they are tapered to get the same size means re-cutting all faces. If you really want to continue
a former geometry, just lay the cutting face on the lap and adjust till its flat.

This has made my life easier. Try it out.

Talk to ya later,
Jim
