Hello all,

Here is my last one, a folding knife with titanium scales.
The scales are engraved like a crocodile skin, and then anodized to obtain the colour.

I’ve spent a lot of time and it’s not resembling as I was expecting.:(

Once again, the old African proverb is true:

The trunk can stay a long time in the river, it will never become crocodile.

Best regards

Jean

santos,
The crocodile treatment of this knife is brilliant. I especially like the way you added the gold eye to the finger opening hole. I don't collect knives but I would collect this one.....

Than You Alfrisillo and Dulltool :)

Dennis the eye is not gold but bronze . It's going to be gold plated soon. Tears are 24K gold inlay and this increases a lot the value of the knife :D

Hey Jean... hola!
Me encanta la originalidad del diseño y realmente sí que se nota el gran trabajo realizado para lograr esta navaja. El ojo le confiere un toque de "vida" que es difícil de lograr y no había visto nunca en un cuchillo. Felicitaciones!
To those who do not speach Spanish, I was talking to Jean that I like very much his work and also that the eye gives some kind of a "life" touch to the knife.

That is VERY cool. Your treatment looks very much like crocodile skin.

Thanks for posting it.

I agree - very cool!

I think the only thing keeping it from crocodilian perfection is the shape of the blade - that long blade profile is more like a gar than a croc. If you had a knife with something like a sheepsfoot blade I think you could nail it. Perhaps a serrated blade so he has teeth...

Really impressive work and sure to be a prized possession of whoever winds up with it.

Gracias Leonardo por haber comentado :)

Steve, I’ll follow your advice and shape a serrated blade for the next one …;)

Keep trying. It looks good to me. If you didn't try something different every once in a while every one would be doing the same thing. Whats the fun in that. Looks great. Go for it.

Although the handles are entirely wrong (plastic), the Benchmade Griptillian models have the right shape for this wonderful idea.
