Bill Gamradt did a magnificent job on the 2008 Colt Collectors Association (CCA) "Show Gun" that will be auctioned on Saturday evening October 4 in Houston, Texas. The CCA hosts its annual show in different State venues around the country every October. The Show Gun is traditionally theme engraved for the annual host State.
The year the show is in Hoston, Texas and the theme of Bill's engravng is "The Texas Cowboy." Ron Nott did the engravng on the accesories and silver case plate and Mike Dubber did the engraving on a Colt knife that is inlcuded in the custom display case.
The 2008 gun is a 12" Buntline Single Action Army .45 Caliber Revolver produced by the Colt Custom Shop of Hartford, CT. But there is no good reason for me to describe Bill's work here, just go to the CCA web site at www.coltcollectors.org to see the gun for yourself!
While your'e there, might as well see Denise Therion's Colt Ladies Gun (with proceeds going to the Elizabeth Colt Foundation that funds student shooting teams) that will be raffled during the show - and you can also see Tim George's beautiful 2007 Reno, Nevada gun as well as other past CCA Show Guns at the same site.
