After a year of engraving practice plates I have finally completed my first actual
piece. I engraved this (GRS) knife with a Celtic theme for my Grandson.

Les, Very nice. I wish my first project was that good!
(I actually have my first...it is a real cheap .25 auto pistol and it is embarrassingly horrible)

You are on the right track and I just love Celtic Knots.
Great work!

For your first engraving the celtic knots and eagle are great. One of the first engravings I did the customer ask me not to scratch the silver.

Very nice, clean cuts, good shading, well thought out.
Doing practice plates saves on regrets.

Nicely done!

Someday, down the line, your grandson may hand that on to his grandson, along with the tale of the man who engraved it.

Fantastic job Les. I'm glad I got to see this little gem up close. Your pictures turned out great but it's always nice to be able to look at something in person. I was extremely impressed with your inlaying. Very professional.
I think your grandson will be pleased. You might want to give him a cheap knife along with this one. One to carry and one to be admired.
