Wow Paul you are a very talented artisan. Beautiful work. The ring that has the carved Sapphire intrigues me. The assembling process with the combination of metals would seem to be quite a challenge. I would be very interested if you cared to elaborate. Also is the emerald intaglio a genuine emerald or lab created? Just curious.
Beautiful work.

More, more, more! I love the sculpting on the sides of the rings. Thanks for showing us your work. :)

The emerald is columbian, very shallow, but clear and saturated in color, suitable for the broach. I was sweating during the carving on this customer's stone.
Sapphire was faceted, table down, carving done after the setting has been compleated.
The ring for Larry Wilson done in 1981, he helped me then with job at Ruger.

Sam,

I think an interview with Paul would be in order (if he will allow it) for the benefit of Cafe readers who are not previously familiar with his background. It may help to understand how he comes up with such wonderful works of art.

It is an honor to be on Forum.
Remember the life-before-computers, not long ago, how difficult it was to communicate?
