Hi,
So, I got the new Magnum handpiece. Does that mean I'm going to sell my two 710's?

Heck No!

I always wanted a dedicated hammer hand piece for stone setting. I always found the 710 a tad awkward.
I was playing around with some jet set and made a collar for the 710.

I like the 710 because it has plenty of power and does quite a good job as a power hammer.

With the new collar on it has transformed the tool into an ideal hammer. I thought I'd give the
new configuration a try engraving a deep section and it's great.
It's now more combatable and I have two more heavy engraving tools that I really like to use.

I had jet set in the shop but I'm sure Thermo Lock will work just as well. It tightens up on the threads and
stay put. If it gets worn or loose, into the hot water again and reform it.

Talk to ya later,
Jim
