This Perugini & Visini belonging to a friend came through my shop, and I took a few photos.
The work was done by Claudio Tomasini whom I got to meet 15 or so years ago (before I really even knew what hand engraving was). He spoke very little English, I spoke next to no Italian. We did have fun shooting and evaluating food and drink though.

I understand he past away last year - his work lives on!

Gordon,

I am very saddened to read that Claudio passed away. Scott Pilkington and I visited with him at the P&V shop several years ago.

Roger,

I came to this news in a round-about way - my friend had the gun for sale where the price he was asking had been raised dramatically due to Claudio's passing.

It must have been quite interesting to visit at P&V. Their guns are not only quite beautiful, the ones I have shot have enabled me to hit targets that I felt would have been missed with other firearms.
