Walther PPK/S acceptable scroll styles...
When looking at other PPKs, on the web, Im not able find to many styles represented. Basically all I see is Oakleaf, english(ish)scroll, a couple Ivy'ish designs and a few others that have no decernable(category).
Is putting a Nimschke or American scroll or the like on a Walther going to harm the value or make it unwanted?

those are awfully big scrolls for such a small pistol with small surfaces.

Thank you, Mitch.

JJ,
That is the best option I suppose. I just figured that the American scroll put on SAA in all those smaller areas that the same would hold true for the PPK. But maybe the style might not translate as well either.

Don,

It all depends on whether you want the gun to look totally Germanic or to look like a German gun engraved by an American. If you are searching around on the web, you will find all kinds of PPs and PPKs that were engraved in the US. Some good and some awful. If you want it to look Germanic but not use oak leaves you would use blackleaf (Laubornament) or German scroll (Grund Englisch). I have attached some authentic German engraved Walthers as examples.

nimschke remains just about my all time favorite, but i'd agree, not on this gun.
