    Default Davide Pedersoli black powder pistol

    Hi everyone,
    Has anyone engraved the barrel of this pistol? How bout the hammer & side plate?

    I will tell you one thing. the front sight is inlaid. That means the metal is soft. All muzzle loaders are made of soft steel except for the locks which may be case hardened. I am currently engraving a Uberti walker. It is soft as butter. The barrel is most likely 1137 or 12L14. Even most of the case hardening is fake.
