I think it's finished but you never know. As long as it's in my shop there is a temptation to continue tinkering.

Nicely composed, Lee. Good effect with the inlays. But the lions would benefit greatly from more definition - or it´s just the picture... or you have etched too long.
Best wishes,
Martin

Martin- Thank you for your advice it is always appreciated. It is mostly the lighting of the photo but at your suggestion I looked at it again and reworked it. It helped.
Sam- Interesting challenge to do a sunset.
Fred- I'm glad growing spins is behind me. I prefer the baked now.
Rex- Chocolate is the real secret. That's my go to when I want to live/engrave on the edge.

Another photo of the buffs. Maybe it's better.

Lee, on the buffalo inlays are the trees the base mtal or stippld in the inlay?

The trees right above the back of the buffaloes are stippled in the gold. The trees higher up are the base metal.

That sunset is a stunner Lee. And you put Martin's advice to good use. The second time around was the charm. I have one question. The white highlights on the grass stalks. They were not there in the first lion scene. Did you inlay some silver or selectively burnish or something else to achieve that?
Beautiful gun any way you shake it Lee.
