It could be overkill, anyway I have been thinking about every line and made plenty corrections.
Next will take even more time when I start shading this.
Next time I pay more attention on the with of the pencil strokes.
Anyway, this was a great study for me on folds and leaf structures

Next challenge will be the shading.

Some interesting elements Arnaud.
The attachment point of the lower right hand scroll doesn't work for me.
Look forward to seeing your shading of this piece.
Best.

Thank you John and yes , I see what you mean, I have to lower the connection of that first leaf a bit there. The backbone there looks right to me, not that leaf.
As it is digital drawing, it will be easy to correct. :)

Carlos, not so complicated to do in Procreate. Straight lines are done by holding down the pencil, and having them equal spaced, I made the background invisible so I could line up on the rasterised layer.
If you are familiar with Procreate you will understand.

Hello Arnaud.
Looking forward to seeing you finish and shade this interesting design.
Hope you have just been too busy to get around to it and that my unsolicited comment did not divert you.
Your scroll construction is usually so secure that this one took me by surprise and I made an unasked for comment.
Sorry,I should have done it by PM. Not on an open forum. You had not ask for critique.
My apologizes if I offended you,

John, You don't have to feel sorry about your comment. I can recognize justified comments and so that helps me to progress.
This design I'm still working on the shading and I need a lot of hours to have it right as it is not easy. I rely on my own judgment and do not compromise.
And sure I will show it once I'm satisfied and ask for comments.
The design in fact is not really only a design, to me it is a study on shading. And shading is the hardest part of engraving design skills.
So if I can shade this one perfect, it will be a reference to me for shading options in designs to follow.

kindly regards, arnaud

Thank you Arnaud.
I'm sure it takes a lot of your or anyone's time to do the shading on such a complex design study.
I look forward to seeing and learning from it.
Best.
