So, right up front I will say this printer (as it exist today) is gonna be a too expensive for most end users and will not be the answer to all our issues with transferring artwork to engrave. However, I thought it interesting to see how printing technology is advancing the ability to print on shaped items.

This Xerox product now has the ability to print on contoured items as well as flat items ... metal, leather, plastic etc..

BTW This really product really does exist today ... I have seen it printing. The output would be more than acceptable to lay down artwork to engrave .... and who knows what the future holds ... After all, it wasn't all that long ago that the thought of a $35.00 desktop inkjet printer was unimaginable.
