Hey guys,

Heres a seal carving I did a while back....took some good progress shots so thought I'd share them. Thanks for looking.....any seal carvers out there with more experience I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Cheers,
Nic

Superb skills. I do a lot of carving, but I've never tried to carve in the negative mode. I may just have to give this a try.

Thanks guys. When I have time I'll do another one....unfortunately doing mainly trade work you're always under the pump to get it done lol.
Thanks again for the kind words

Very nice work!
I would like to try that someday.
I admit when I first saw your post, I wanted to ask you how you held the seal down to engrave it, aren't they slippery?
Do harbor seals engrave differently than elephant seals?
Sorry, twisted sense of humor.....
