Drawing, engraving and gold inlay on Lapis Lazuli for the first time in Iran. I also made the silver frame and did the drawing, engraving and goldinay on the frame. :pencil:

Thank you very much. Yes I have undercut the stone about 0.7 mm and then inlaid the gold. :tiphat:

Yes it is. I undercut the stone about 0.7 mm using hammer then I do the gold inlay.
Here is another work of mine on agate stone, the process is the same.

Wow! That is beautiful.
It must take a skilled hand to not break the stone.
I know agate or jade would be fairly strong, any other stones you would recommend?
