Default Scrolls without leaves 🍃 progress

Hi guys, it has been a while since I wrote here. I have been very busy with work and haven't have time for engraving.
Anyway, I have vacation now so hopefully I will get this darn knife done.
This scene is quite tricky to pull off. One might think that simplicity is simple but far from it, at least for me.
    Here are a few pictures.

Well Mike, there is nothing simple about it, except that it is simply beautiful!! Way to go!

I think a vascular surgeon must have the same patience and tool control as an engraver that cuts scrolls without leaves. The before shading and after shading pics really show the dramatic difference the extra work makes.
    Thanks for posting, Mark

I work with Vascular Surgeons daily and believe me, none of them have the patience of the engraver!
    Wonderful work!

    That is some fantastic work!
Not much room for error, and none seen by me.
    Great inspiration.
What kind of knife and material is it?
    Jim
