When I started building flintlock rifles I used in-letting black the price was a little steep for what you get. Somewhere I found a mix of chap stick and black paint pigment it worked good. When I found this forum and found out about wax transfers I tried my formula it was to soft, started adding beeswax until it worked for transfers. The best part is it works better for in-letting than it did before. Sam's wax will probably work for both too.
