For those who own one,
Is Lindsay low profile vise heavy enough for firearms engraving?
I have the Grs magnablock which will be perfect but it's too tall for microscope set up since I'm a short guy. I have to sit high up to be able to see through the microscope and I use a pedal:(

If the stand will not go lower... you will simply have to sit higher in relationship to it.

The vise/support can stay as low at will go and you raise the chair.

I have worked from a drafting chair, with my feet on a raised platform (where all of the pedals are easy to reach) for more years than I care to count anymore.

Another tip, while I think of it. While all of the chairs at the other shop benches have wheels/rollers - the drafting chair I use does not.

The reason being that when I push hard, I do NOT want the chair rolling me away from my work.
