I was very pleased to see a fine write up in the Spring 2017 issue of the Double Gun Journal complimenting Master engraver Bob Strosin on his extensive engraving restoration of an historically significant AH grade Parker shotgun.
Bob took on this very difficult task because of the extensive damage to the both the gun and the original engraving. The article is titled Boomtown Parker, page 27.
Brad Bachelder was responsible for the gunsmithing restoration including the stockwork.
Brad and Bob teamed to do a wonderful job as shown in the pictures of the finished gun.
This gun was formally owned by Stephen Augustus Pace, one of the early Boomtown residents of Corsicana, Texas. Mr. Pace was involved in the discovery Texas oil. He brought the railroad to Corsicana and served as an early Alderman and Police Commissioner among other civic offices.
Congratulations on a great restoration engraving job Bob. :tiphat:
