UV Adhesive and Copper

For those that want to use UV cure adhesive and transparency film for transfers to copper I've found that you have to clean copper first with vinegar to get an oxide free surface. Rinse with clear water, dry and then apply the adhesive. Once the image has been cured it sticks quite well. Still comes off well with Goof-Off but you can't scrub quite as hard if you want the polished finish to stay intact. I tried a copper practice plate several times but couldn't get the adhesive to stick to the plate until I cleaned it. Solvent alone won't remove the oxide.
