This is my latest engraved copper plate. I am now teaching a print class
in my studio here in Manassas, VA.

That's pretty neat. I like printmaking because it makes it easier to share our engraving. Each print is considered an original in the art world.

What did you need for a printing setup such as press, pads and ink?

John,The press is a used Dick Blick econo etching press it was missing the bed,handle and three blankets.I made a handle and bed purchased blankets,ink and copper plates and etching paper from Blick,my prints will be outdoor game scenes I'm a big fan of Frank Benson and Roland Clark. J.J.

Bert,The tool on the right is a scraper for removing scratch's and then you burnish with the steel tool under the print and two hand push gravers for fine lines with no heel and a roulette on the left for dot's. J.J.

Talented artist, four hand tools, a piece of copper. Put them together and that's what you get. Beautiful work!!
