I have the DVD set that was transferred from VHS tape in the late 80's. McKenzie was a remarkable engraver and teacher. Sam Alfano will attest to that. Every time I watch I pick up details I had missed in earlier sessions.

I also recommend the recordings as a complete beginner.
I routinely re-watch them along with others I have to both reinforce lessons and pick up on details that aren't necessarily talked about but are nevertheless visible
It’s a shame they're not available any more.

I have all three of his videos (on vhs, trying to get them transferred to dvd before they wear out completely), and they're fantastic resources. As has been noted, there's a wealth of information both spoken, and observed. His book of notes and smokeprints, available from Steve Lindsey, is also well worth the cost, and combined with his videos you can see the things he talks about applied to a large selection of his work. It rivals Meek's book as being my most frequent reference source, so that says quite a bit. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
