Just curious if the engravers on this forum are using a ceramic lap for polishing. It has never been my favorite and I prefer the 3m polishing pads.

If you do use a ceramic lap I would really love to hear what you like and dislike about them.

Thanks

I use one a lot and like it. You have to run them at a slow RPM. If you run them fast they will throw off the diamond compound. One thing I learned is don't buy the cheap ones off of Ebay. They will not give a good polish. They leave scratches in the graver. They look good but are not up to the quality of the GRS one. They are super good for putting on small heals. Don't drop them on the concrete they will break.

Where do you source your 3m polishing pads from?

I've heard them mentioned but when I Google search I can't find much.

I currently use edenta disks to high Polish my gravers

I use the Yellow Edenta wheel all the time. Love it.
