Greenhorn want to start engraving

I just took the plunge also and bought a gravermax. To be honest before I got it and was using a micromotor with a hammer handpiece as a power graver it's not the tools that improve your skills.
The items i have purchased as a beginner that have helped me the most are:
Book: Drawing and understanding scroll designs by Ron Smith
Microscope: I bought a used meiji emt 2 scope from eBay for £150 with a stand that I mounted to my bench with a large g clamp
Both those items have had the biggest impact on my learning curve.
Have you thought about all the other items you would need like a vice, sharpening system? There's some stickies that really helped me at the top of the forum
