    Thank you for posting these John. They actually make me sad because George gave me steel practice plate with his brightcut engraving on it which rusted beyond repair. Nobody's fault but my own...I should have kept it wrapped and protected from humid Louisiana. It's really nice seeing these!!

    I meet George Sherwood at a knife show in New York city before I moved to Virginia we spent time talking about engraving and I went away with some good advice,he also signed my copy of American Engraver. J.J.

    Too Kool John, Those look like the samples that were in his little book. I am not sure you didn't have those with you at school when I was there, been a while!!!!!!!!!!!

    I seem to remember John having them with him when we took that class?

    I may well have had them then Dave, but like Brian said........Things get a little hazy after all these years.

    Yep, it hasn't been staying "under the bridge" either - at his very moment my dog kennels are in the middle of a lake...

    Too bad I don't own any Labs, they'd love it!

    But having 5 wet, stinky, long haired Aussies in the house makes them happy - if not me...

    Be glad to get 'em outta here and back outdoors as soon as possible.
