a good thing to do. no sense wasting a resource, esp at the prices these days. i would think hammering the designs would be quite a challenge. i'd be curious to see the tools you used to create your rings, that is if you have the time.
When you say "recycled" are you referring to simply melting down previous sterling rings or adding "new" sterling to old rings in a particular ration eg 50:50 or have you taken old sterling and refined it yourself to pure and alloyed it up again? If the former is the case you may soon find the metal starting to crack with the slightest forging.

Used propane/map gas torch. Cast the silver into ingot, pickled and hammered to approximate ring size and with. The engraver to shape and cut silver. Have a couple of photos forgot how to add photos?

Understand what your saying . Most of the silver been melted done two or more time with silver that has not been melted. If there is a cold seam, the silver some time cracks at the cold seam and I use it to practice set CZ.
