Please excuse me......I'm not ignoring your wonderful work.
But that is the most beautiful Damascus I have ever seen.
Did you make it?

Not me John B. The blade maker is Grand Leavitt who resides in the Snake River Valley of Idaho. His eBay user name is snakeriverknives and he always has 50+ blade blanks for sale in a multitude of damascus patterns. I've bought quite a few blades from him and other USA based damascus makers and can say without a doubt Grand is up there with the best.

Thank you for your reply Ron. Both you and Grand are masters of your art.

I'm with John B, that damascus is fabulous. What a perfect pattern for the shape of the blade.

Humans are indeed very strange creatures... we are animals. (and no, I will not get into an argument are about why we are "superior" and not really animals)

No other creature on the planet has such a ridiculous collection of rules, regulations and superstitions binding and restricting their lives. Most of them illogical, unnecessary, unenforceable or used selectively to harass. (an example being an ordinance that says you cannot spit on the sidewalk. Never enforced if a city council member were to do it, but enforced when the city coffers aren't full or the enforcer wants to encourage you to leave town)

And because animals don't torture themselves with this crap, I believe that they are far superior in some ways to "us". No artificial encumbrances or customs - and what are to me pretty stupid ideas. For example: Why is it okay to look at an image of a litter of puppies or kittens or cows nursing - but it's "forbidden" (in this society) to look at the same images of our own species? Where is the logic in that?

Most people used to be intelligent enough to know the difference between art and porn, but with a bunch of "nanny" politicians making all the "moral" choices for the sheep - you get what you get... and it sure in the hell ain't common sense.

This recent election ought to show that most of us will not accept this anymore. Trump may not have been the most qualified person in the country (I sure hope not!) - but the one thing he HAS going for him is that he is NOT a politician! (yet...)
