Very interesting design. I like the idea of leaves overlapping while still having the spirals as a starting point for the design. In nature leaves rarely grow precisely between spines. In most cases they overlap each other as well as the spines. Not all plants grow like ferns do. I really need to draw more often to practise interesting design possibilities.
