Pictured is custom rifle build I'm collaborating on, which will be finished for the Dallas Safari Club show in January. It was built off a pre 64 Winchester model 70 action. Basically only the action has been kept, everything else upgraded and replaced.

The floorplate is the first part I've engraved. It features 24k raised and flush gold inlays. The central raised oval is being left unengraved for the eventual owners monogram

Nicely designed Bert. Your scroll is neat as a pin and very attractive.

Just finished my work in this one. It is off for finishing.

This has been a learning experience as most my work is on pistols. Biggest thing I learned is it just takes a lot of time to bring all the components together to make a finished rifle.

This has been a start to finish project...
source the model 70 action
metalwork to upgrade barrel and other features, and prep metal for engraving
picking a stock blank
having a semi inlet blank cut
Barreled action fit to stock
Begin engraving the parts that weren't affected by metal to wood fit
Stock finished and checked
Engraving critical metal to wood fit parts

To be completed...
Finishing metal
Final assembly
