I lurk on this site regularly and have for at least a couple of years, admiring all of the talent here. I do mainly scrimshaw and a VERY limited amount of engraving. I learned quickly they're not the same skill. But I see some scrimshaw posted here so thought I'd share a piece I did of Clint Eastwood and Chris Kyle. I could have kept making dots, but I ran out of time. Old story. One of these days I'll get brave and post some engraving with scrimshaw, too.

Super nice work!! I would like to see more of your art, if you get a minute post some more please. Put up some of that engraving too, I bet it is better than what you think it is.

Thank you. The material is ivory. I get scraps from a pistol grip maker, and they work pretty well for small pieces like this. It's about 5 inches long.
