Where to get coins for Hobo Nickels?

Hi all!
I've bought a few Buffalo Nickels off ebay to start with, but where do you folk usually get the coins to carve up?

Pawn shops should be a good source.

A local coin shop used to sell buffalo nickels for 50-cents each. They were pretty worn but I would sort through them and find the best ones. That's how I started. eBay is probably the best source.

coin shops sell a lot of these at reasonable prices for those of lesser quality. the better ones are priced accordingly. at least at a coin shop, you can see the condition of them.

If you want worn ones to practice on... eBay is good..

...and if you want a full horn, you have to type that into the eBay search and look at the listings that show the actual coin as some dealers definition of a 'full horn' can be a bit lacking.
