Scrimshaw: scrimshaw practice

First time I tried to do this Scrimshaw on corian. The dog is 3,5 cm wide. I used charbonnel etching ink.

I've tried to engrave on some part of my bicycle helmet and it works like corian. Do you have any idea how can I keep the paint on the helmet under rain? Or what kind paint should I use?

you could try some kind of clearcoat. contact the manufacturer. talk to a tech. person there. see if it's likely to disolve the paint. or--- do a bit of bulino on the inside of the helmet. when your ink is thoroughly dry, give the clearcoat a try. charbonel may be able to shed som light on your question. good luck & let us know what you find.
