I needed some practice plates(copper). Some sources are expensive for a 2X2", About $3 or more. I purchase copper by the sq. ft. from Online metals. The last I purchased was about $40 a sq. ft. the thickness is .050. This is just over $1 Per Plate. If you need a larger plate you can cut what ever you want.

i get all my copper & brass at my local junkyard. it's all in good to excellent shape. a local outfit does stamping, waterjet, and such. they don't inventory stuff like that, and when they have an excess, it just goes to the jy. i love to go shopping there.
