How to replace worm drive on engraving block?

I have a bit of a newbie question, but decided to ask the experts here first, before I break anything.
So I go a replacement worm drive for the pepe block I purchased a few weeks ago.
My question is do I just unscrew the jaws all the way and put the new drive in? Or are there other steps I need to complete first?

Just unscrew and screw the ends back on. make sure both ends start at the same time so they meet squarely in the middle.

be mindful-- the main screw has left & right threads. the jaw inserts are also left & right. the threads must match, or you'll not get the vise to work.
