Nice work, and something I hadn't thought of. Other metal trim parts now come to mind. Before you get them plated, make sure you tell those platers to NOT take a buffer to them, like some like to do. Your detail will go right down the toilet. All finishing should be done by you, and all they need to do is clean and prep, and do the plating. They ought to look pretty good when done!

Ron yes they were chrome before but I got them strippeddown to bare metal and then polished to mirror finish so I can engrave and now when they go to the chromer they won't need to do anything besides degrees them and dip them

I like your work man, it is really nice. Do you have your sharpening system set up on your drill press?
I would like to know more about that. Thanks

Try to make your scrolls go all the way to the edge of the space,
so your background areas are divided into separate shapes and don't run together.

cool looking stuff you got there. i don't recall seeing such on the forum before. tyvm for taking time to show this. this may inspire some of the younger engravers to explore other possibilities.

I hope you're getting paid well for the car parts. I had an inquiry about engraving a set of door handles on a high-end car, but he apparently didn't like the quote, never heard from him again. Most people don't understand the time necessary for a quality job.
