It's a fascinating piece. The mixture of scroll styles really work well together. A Florid Victorian overlaying an English scroll. What I find truly interesting is the tiny background scrolls, at first sight, appear to be English Fine Scroll, but upon inspection, they "break all the rules" of how scroll backbones are supposed to "grow". And yet, the design is pleasing to the eye. The bolt knob is really magnificent.

beautiful, I've been looking for a while now and still finding details. The bolt, the griffins framing the scene, the gripcap . Heck, all of it ! And nice photo's too . Thank you for posting.
