Hi,
I thought I should share this hack for holding really wide rings.
I get to engrave/ stone set such wide rings about 2-3 times a year and I needed a way to hold them in my engraving block so I came up with this setup.
I use a 1/4-20 bolt and wing nut (I couldn't find 1/4-28 in Israel, to use with the original GRS wing nut). I made a cone copper bezel but instead, the cones that come with the GRS holder can be used. The small black cones in the middle came with the GRS holder as well as the extra black ring.
BTW The black ring holders are bent because this ring is wide and hollow on one side and thin and solid on the other.
I hope this helps
