Well I was playing around cleaning up my message box and thought I would do a little spring cleaning.... Deleted a bunch of my old pictures in the process.
So now I need to start over.

Here is some progress on the steel plate.

I really like the plate you're doing. The openess of it reminds me of western style leather work. I don't care for the engraving where all the background is filled with little tiny scrolls/leaves. The flowers look great.

Hi,

Is there another way to view your video other than facebook? I don't do facebook but I would love to see it. I don't facebook, twitter, etc. No social media...Maybe youtube?

Finished engraving the plate and shooting the videos.
Now I will edit the videos and make some castings of the plate.
I figure that the video is about 3 hours long...maybe a little more.
I did not shade the left side of the plate... Thinking that a person would want to do a reversed wax transfer for themselves and engrave their own piece.

Excellent Shawn, love the concept, design and execution. That's a good challenge for most engravers, notwithstanding the true masters.

Shawn, I have a question. Why when you shade so extensively do you leave the tips on the leafs that have a fold over tip blank? To me it makes them look flat . I noticed the same thing on the tail like fold overs on some of the others as well as some of the centers of the center spirals.

The first two pictures was several years ago. I admit there are areas that I can improve upon. At times it is difficult to not get defensive when someone offers a critique, but a critique opens my eyes to same o may have over looked. Thanks for your help.
