Dear mr Didyoung , do you use a normal graver and cut very fine lines to achieve your greys when shading or is it a custom liner . to be honest i admire your shading the most in the areas of range and real depth . i cut 89 lines into one leaf element yesterday but it was still nothing to compare . maybe you cross hatch very fine lines the whole of the leaf then re-cut lines deeper to get the darker highlights.

If you dont wish to share i understand . but if you do online one to one i would happily pay if the subject was soley shading . nice doodle by the way as per usual.

I did a short video on YouTube.
Try looking for shading a wester bright cut flower.
I am going to make a DVD that is focused on shading.
Post a picture of your work...I will try to help.
