Hello,

I' m Gregory Georgescu,

I m new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself

I' m doing engraving on mother of pearl, I started with metal engraving.

Lately I v been working on miniature engraving 10x14mm to be worn as pendant, I dont know where to show them and maybe sell them, if you have any tips or idea, that would be awesome!!!

very nice and unique. how do you cut your designs? by the way, welcome to the forum. you're more than welcome to post fotos of the work you create.

Hi monk,

I use a jeweler saw to cut the shells, i use slab made for inlay.

The dust is quite toxic though so better to do this under water ;-)

thanks for the reply. some time ago there was a bit of controversy on the forum-- as to whether or not the dust was toxic. in truth, no dust is safe to breath, depending on exposure level. when working with anything producing dust, why would one take the chance. the bad side of certain exposures, the effects are cumulative. the inhaled stuff never leaves the lungs.
