And here's a SAA Colt I did for "myself" (or at least for awhile...lol) I had it finished with a satin nickel. The idea was to create a similar gun to the one that was published on the cover of Guns&Ammo. I modified it quite considerably to make it unique and "the way I wanted it".

A first gen Colt SAA I restored and engraved for a customer. This one has a few gold accents.

And lastly a first year second gen Colt SAA.

Both of these guns were done in my interpretation of Helfricht style standard "cowboy" looking engraving. I get asked to do these "historical" style engravings fairly regularly and quite frankly enjoy them.

Hi Bert,

Been a big fan of your work for a number of years, and your former life as a jeweler really shows in the pave-like precision of your dot-punch layout. It's one of the myriad "little things" that sets your work apart. Bravo!

Best regards,
Doug
