Here's a photo of the sculpting demonstration I did at FEGA. I wasn't keeping track of time, but I suspect this took around 45 minutes.

It was an awesome seminar(s) DVD available soon.
Sam could you email me over a few photos of you sculpted projects to use in the intro of the DVD?
And a good still of you at your bench would be cool as well.
Thanks

Sam,

Two great seminars this year, both of you excellent communicators.

I was really inspired by your sculpting and will give it a try, so thank you for posting this excellent photo. What I like is that this approach forces you to keep thinking about the elements as you shape them.

Every good wish to you and Abigail!

DIFFICULT TO FIND WORDS, SAM--for what you have done for so very many engravers and budding artists.

Sam, I'll echo what Monk said. Thank you for making the engraving world a better place!

That is really cool. Brings out a lot of different emotions. The hammered texture contrasts beautifully and elegantly with the smooth flowing lines of the scroll. Sort of medieval, beauty and the beast. Really unique. Put me down for a DVD.
