I was in military museum in Istanbul today and I've taken photos and share some of them. I've seen bulino engraving on this pistol. I wonder what are the dates on this pistol. Why did they engrave these dates on it?

I wonder how the "8 shooter" would be classed if all the rounds go off at once? Not a wheel gun, not a semi-auto, not a full auto?

No doubt gotta be "illegal" over here ;) If not, it will be. Would make an interesting "street sweeper" or entire "city block sweeper"?

Some of the stuff might not be illegal, at all, depending upon if they may fall into the antiques, black powder, curios, and relics classifications. I let my FFL go years back, as the local commies were a pain in the rear, getting dictatorial, and the local economy started to fall apart. I haven't, thusly, kept up with the statutes. It would be worth checking out, though.

The dates are when the patent rights were issued by the US government . The patent is susposed to protect the rights of the inventor from infringement for 17 years. Hope this helps and thanks
for the photos

Thank for sharing, I was in Istanbul in 1993 but I was not into engraving so did not have a close look at the engraving at that time...

Beautiful pieces! It is so nice to see different styles of metalwork. Thank you for the photos. Can you estimate the size of their collection?

The museum mention that they have approximately 55.000 objects in their inventory.
