I'm not all that old but I seem to remember (and I think there is an old invoice lying around somewhere) silver being 10 cents a gram. :(

I'll have to find that invoice to make sure I'm not hallucinating!

It looks like gold and silver has taken a bit of a dive so far today. I wish I'd paid these prices for what I have though! :) I remember well when Tricky Dick took us off of the gold standard in 1971 which allowed the government to print all of the dollars they wanted to and... they certainly have. Before that, gold was $35.00 per ounce! :shock:
