Handy little idea I just came across in a stone masons discussion group.

I've used that trick for woodworking and wood carving also. You can also use the inside and outside for curved corners. I keep a bunch of different washers handy. If you need a larger set-off, try what are called fender washers.

Sometime ideas are so simple you don't think of them. I tend to think more complicated, and ignore the simplistic. There is no cure!

That is one of those rather old tricks...that I learned about a couple of years ago building guitars.
